The winery is located in the city-municipality Krems in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Kremstal, It was founded by the grandfather of the current owner in the 19th century. A wine tavern is connected. In the last 15 years there has been a big expansion, the vineyards have grown from 15 to 80 hectares. As a result, the previously extensive purchase of grapes and wines from other vineyards was replaced. Furthermore, extensive variety changes were carried out. In 2004, the winery received the "Hans-Czettel-Preis" for nature and environmental protection for an exemplary Riesling terrace plant in the Riede Faucha, acquired by 19 winegrowers. The vineyards are located in the Rieden Faucha, Frechau, Kögl, Kraxen, Kremsleithen, Pfaffenberg. sandpit. mirror, Thalland, Wachtberg and Weinzierlberg.

They are planted to 70% with Grüner Veltliner, and Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Neuburger, Chardonnay, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc and Zweigelt. From contract growers from the area around Schrattenberg in the Burgenland DAC area Leithaberg grapes are purchased and used to make red wines. The wines are optionally expanded in the cellar vaults from the 13th to 14th centuries, or in the new stainless steel tank storage. About 90% of single-cell wines are closed with glass. It also produces bottle-fermented sect. Every year around one million bottles of wine are produced, around 85% of the production is delivered to the catering trade.
