The winery is located in the town parish Krems in the Lower Austrian wine region Kremstal, It was founded by the grandfather of the current owner in the 19th century. A wine tavern is connected. There has been a great expansion in the last 15 years, the vineyards have grown from 15 to 80 hectares. This replaced the previously extensive purchase of grapes and wines from other wine-growing areas. Extensive variety changes were also carried out. In 2004 the winery received the “Hans-Czettel Prize” for nature and environmental protection for an exemplary Riesling terrace system in the Riede Faucha, which was acquired by 19 winegrowers. The vineyards are located in the vineyards Faucha, Frechau, Kögl, Kraxen, Kremsleithen, Pfaffenberg. sandpit. mirror, Thalland, Wachtberg and Weinzierlberg.

70% of them are planted with Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Neuburger, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc and Zweigelt. From contract winemakers from the Schrattenberg area in Burgenland's DAC area Leithaberg grapes are bought and red wines are made from them. The wines are expanded either in the cellar vaults from the 13th to 14th centuries, or in the new stainless steel tank farm. Around 90% of the single-layer wines are closed with glass. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. Around a million bottles of wine are produced annually, and around 85% of production is delivered to the catering trade.
