2009 Deidesheim Kalkofen Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat vegetal and nutty scent with yellow fruity and a little earthy-mineral tones. Ripe, rather bright, quite sweet fruit, very fine acidity, some grip, good persistence, distinct minerality, some power and warmth, dried-vegetable nuances, good persistence and some depth, seems quite ageless, also quite sweet on the very good finish. Has developed much better - and longer - than expected.
