2013 trocken Joe N°1, Burgenland, Austria

Oak and tobacco on the nose, peppery and light earthy notes, black fruit, leathery and dried vegetal notes. Surprisingly cool, fairly polished, elegant, juicy, dark fruit on the palate, light sooty and smoky oak, some dark chocolate, fine youthful tannins, fairly persistent, hint of tobacco, prominent peppery notes, hint of licorice, some dried mushrooms, medium body, initally a fairly smooth style, but bercomes more firm and characterful with aeration, very good finish.
