The estate is located in the municipality Bürgstadt (Mainviereck area) in the German wine-growing region
Franconia, The family has been involved in viticulture at least since 1855, today the business is run by Daniela and Christoph Walter. The vineyards cover 3.5 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers
Centgrafenberg and
dog back (Bürgstadt). They are planted to 75% with the red varieties Pinot Noir (50%), Early Burgundy, Domina and Regent, and with the white varieties Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus and Riesling. The management is done in a natural way with permanent greening, application of manure and
compost, as well as waiver
insecticides and mineral nitrogen fertilization. Quality-enhancing measures include a high number of hectares / hectare and elaborate foliage work with the goal of low yields.
The white wines are fermented cool and aged in stainless steel tanks. After gentle transport in small boxes, the red wine grapes are emptied by hand without any pumping operations into the destemmer and stored in mash fermentation tanks. It takes place (partly

Press The red wines are mostly aged in a barrel or in barrique. The malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously. The high quality grades are bottled without filtration. Premium wines are Silvaner "S" Centgrafenberg (stainless steel, 10% used Barrique), Pinot Noir "J" Hundsrück (24 months barrique from Spessartiche) and Pinot Noir "J" Centgrafenberg (24 months barrique). Every year around 18,000 bottles of wine are produced. It also produces red grape juice and bottled fermented sparkling wine (Blanc de Noir). The winery is a member of the Silvaner Forum.
