The winery is located in the municipality Dernau in the German wine-growing region Ahr, It was founded in 1910 by Gottfried Sebastian. The company is run by the sisters Andrea Bertram and Ricarda Sebastian since 1998 in the fourth generation of the family. After an internship in the Dernauer winery Meyer Näkel (2009), the degree of viticulture and oenology as "Bachelor of Science" in the University of Applied Sciences Geisenheim (2012) and the function "German Wine Queen" as ambassador of the German Wine (2013) was vinified by daughter Julia Bertram in 2014, the first wine line of 1.3 hectares of vineyards.
