2008 Kamptal Reserve trocken Rotspon, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Nutty oak on the nose, some coffee notes, black and red berries. Ripe, fairly juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, toasted, nutty oak, coffee and cocoa, integrated sandy, very slightly astringent tannins, warm style, slightly jammy, good to very good finish. Still very pleasant to drink, particularly if slightly chilled.

Slightly sweetish, clear, youthful fruit on the palate, red berries and some Piemont cherries, light nougat, light herbs and spices and some toasted notes, integrated tannins, has some substance, quite charming, more prominent mineral notes on a very good finish.
