Tart aroma of black berries with dried planty to tobacco and slightly sooty-woody notes. Tart black fruit in the mouth, some acidity and quite present tannin, again some bitterish sooty wood notes, good persistence, a little salt in the background, hints of herbs, has power, still seems relatively young, some sandy tannin in the good to very good finish. Holds up surprisingly well.

Best to drink: Bis 2026+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Translate to English Rußiger und röstig-holzwürziger Duft nach Waldbeeren und Kirschen mit Trockenkräuternoten und mineralischen Anklängen. Im Mund saftig, aber wieder auch deutlich holzwürzig und etwas rußig, zarter Säurebiss, relativ feines, ein wenig trocknendes Tannin, mineralische Anklänge am Gaumen, gewisser Schmelz, hat Biss und Leben, noch jung, gute Nachhaltigkeit und mittlere Tiefe, sehr guter Abgang.
