2014 trocken Ypsilon, Württemberg, Germany

Clear, fairly firm nose, ripe, partly preserved black berries and a few cherries, nutty, spicy oak and cocoa, dried floral traces, earthy notes, peppery traces, whiff of mint. Clear, polished fruit on the palate, surprisingly cool considering the high level of alcohol, peppery spice, light acid bite, very fine youthful tannins, slighy salty in the background, slightly minty again, becomes more firm with aeration, more salty traces and fairly prominent spicy oak on a very good, polished, elegant, juicy finish.
