2016 Osthofen Grauburgunder trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Nutty notes and light oak on the nose, light yellow spices, ripe pomaceous fruit, mushrooms, hint of bacon, earthy traces. Fairly tart, firm citrus and pomaceous fruit on the palate, light nutty, spicy oak, vegetal and herbaceous notes, some mushrooms, salty and chalky mineral notes, touch of white pepper, elegant acidity, ripe tannins provide some grip, good substance and persistence, exotic traces in the background, noticeable warm alcohol, slightly astringent tannins, very good firm, tart, ripe fruity finish.
