2017 Scheurebe trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm, yeasty nose, still quite reductive, floral notes and some dried herbs, light touch of citrus and stone fruit, earthy notes, prominent phenolic notes. Tart, firm, juicy, polished fruit on the palate, lively, elegant acidity, vegetal and herbaceous notes, light mineral notes in the background, pomaceous fruit, hint of roses, still largely undeveloped, has some depth, cool style, light-bodied, but also has substance, more noticeable yeasty and phenolic notes on a very good, firm, elegant, juicy finish. Needs some time to mature.
