2016 Malsch Ölbaum "Cuvée Grand Malheur", Baden, Germany

Fairly tart nose, light dried vegetal and earthy notes, predominantly black and a few red berries, touch of old oak in the background. Sweetish, predominantly dark fruit on the palate, tart nutty, sooty oak, integrated fine sandy tannins, medium body, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, persistent, hint of tobacco, peppery traces, earthy notes, creamy, hint of chocolate, good, warm, slightly sweetish finish.
