Tart nose, hint of tobacco, nutty oak, earthy notes, red and a few black berries, hint of bacon, very light peppery traces. Ripe, tart fruit on the palate, hint of bacon and tobacco, light toasted, smoky oak, earthy and peppery notes, full-bodied, not particularly deep, fairly prominent tannins, good persistence, hint of carawayseed, noticeable warm alcohol, more light toasted notes on a very good, fairly firm, ripe, juicy finish.
