The estate is located in the municipality of Erden (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle, The family has been wine-growing for several generations. A guest house is connected. The business is run by Klaus Lotz, who trained as a winemaker. The vineyards cover 5.5 hectares of vineyards in the mostly steep areas of Bußlay, Herrenberg and podium (Earth), as well Försterlay (Losnich). They are mainly planted with the Riesling, as well as the varieties Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. The aim is to vinify excellent wines with a lot of fruit - and above all unmistakable slate minerality. In suitable years, noble sweet dried berries and ice wines are also pressed. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines, brandies (yeast, pomace) and liqueurs (peach, grapes) are also produced.
