2014 Endingen Engelsberg Spätburgunder trocken ***, Baden, Germany

Fairly tart nose, light dried vegetal notes, hint of tobacco, red and a few black berries, delicate earthy and mineral traces, hint of caraway seed. Ripe, juicy, slightly malty fruit on the palate, dried vegetal notes and some peppery spice, light smoky notes, hint of tobacco, some more caraway seed, fine sandy, ripe tannins, good substance, persistent, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, but also has cool elements, mineral notes in the background, more light malted notes, smoky traces, salty notes, tart and juicy on a very good grippy finish.
