2012 Ried Steinzeiler trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Cool, firm and very polished fragrance of partially preserved cherries and mixed berries with fine notes of paprika, a hint of herbs, floral nuances and mineral notes. Still completely closed, quite concentrated, ripe, partly preserved fruit, roasty-nutty and somewhat chocolaty wood, herbal and peppery notes, again a little paprika, persistent on the palate, certain depth, remains surprisingly cool despite the relatively high alcohol, delicately minty, mineral, a hint of black olives, behind this noble dark chocolate, still completely undeveloped, very good to long finish.
