The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The estate is located in the municipality Ilbesheim (area Southern Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, In the traditional family, winegrowing has been practiced for many generations. The company is run by Boris Kranz and his wife Kerstin. It was instrumental in his merit that, after decades of effort, the Ilbesheimer Kalmit 2008 was recognized as an official single location. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards. They are 60% with white wine and 40% planted with red wines. These are mainly Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, Auxerrois and Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. The wines are produced in the three lines Lagen wines, estate wines and local wines. The white wines are partially fermented cool after mash time and matured in steel tanks or large wooden barrels. The red wines are aged in oak barrels. There are also brandies (various fruit brandies, yeast, grape, pomace, cider) and flaschenvergorene sect (Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé) produced. The winery has been a member since the beginning of 2012 VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
