2015 Silvaner trocken 2 Hut, Pfalz, Germany

Open nose, touch of smoked bacon, prominent dried vegetal, earthy and mineral notes, citrus and pomaceous fruit, green bacon, bay leaf, fennel, some caraway seed and a hint of iodine. Full-bodied, juicy and creamy on the palate, preserved, slightly sweetish fruit, some sugar candy, prominent herbaceous notes, floral traces, slightly oxidative, quite concentrated and almost chewy, persistent, noticeable warm alcohol, buttery and candied nutty notes, some toffee apple and bell peppers, metallic and salty mineral notes, yellow spice with some saffron, some depth, hint of olive oil, very good creamy, warm finish with tart, fairly complex spicy notes.
