2014 Spätburgunder Devonschiefer R, Reserve, Ahr, Germany

Clear, polished nose, ripe red and some black berries, with aeration develops some animal notes, hint of tobacco and bacon, light spicy oak, dried herbaceous notes, delicate floral traces, prominent mineral notes. Clear, polished, firm and fairly cool fruit on the palate, hint of smoked bacon, some dried herbs, peppery traces, prominent salty ,mineral notes, persistent, light acid bite, fine, youthful tannins, still astringent, quite deep, still very young, hint of tobacco, tart juivcy notes on a very good firm finish with more prominent salty mineral notes. Give it time to mature.
