Stefan Rumpf took over the winery from his parents in 1984. Until then, some of the wines were marketed to very well-known other wineries, but still almost exclusively in barrels. Stefan Rumpf switched to bottle wine sales and self-marketing. The initial estate bar has been run by his wife Cornelia as a country inn since 1994. Viticulture close to nature is practiced. Particular attention is paid to grapes harvested by hand in several courses with optimal ripeness.
