2015 Blaufränkisch trocken Perwolff, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, deep nose, hint of tobacco, herbs and spices, nutty notes, ripe black berries and blackberries, delicate hint of bacon, whiff of resin, mineral traces. Concentrated, firm and very juicy fruit on the palate, surprisingly cool and polished for such a weighty wine, hint of bacon and tobacco, light herbaceous notes, firm, very fine tannins, concentrated, deep and persistent, pepper and salt in the background, elegant acid bite, quite complex, still largely undeveloped, reined-in power, long, compact, enchanting tart, juicy finish. Needs some time to mature.
