2001 Hochheim Kirchenstück Riesling Auslese trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Fairly mature nose, ripe pomaceous and stone fruit, spicy mineral notes, some caramel, gains depth with aeration. Clear, elegant and juicy on the palate, elegant acidity, mineral notes in the background, light spice, attractively creamy, medium body, concentrated and fairly deep, quite persistent, rounded, light tannic traces on a long finish.
