2004 Hochheim Domdechaney Riesling trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Deep nose, prominent mineral notes, peaches and apricots, candied citrus fruit. Prominent and very juicy fruit on the palate, stone fruit and citrus, lively acidity, carbon dioxide, some slightly sandy tannins, basically a refreshing style, but the mineral grip on the palate may be a little firmer than some are used to, a slightly mean oenological trick, initially you enjoy the sweetish fruit, only to be attacked by the mienral notes, still slightly restless, good long finish. Improves with aeration.
