2004 Hochheim Hölle Riesling Spätlese trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Mature nose with some waxy notes, slightly sweetish, partly candied stone and pomaceous fruit, prominent vegetal notes, a hint of cassis and mineral notes in the background. Mature, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, fairly prominent elegant acidity, quite creamy, some more waxy notes, persistent, partly candied fruit, vegetal and earthy notes, mineral notes, quite firm and has some depth, quite full-bodied, not totally dry, but very harmonious, needs some time in the glass to find itself, very light tannic touch, lively, long finish.

Editor note: Deep nose with intesne mineral notes, piquant citrus and peaches, delicate hint of cassis. Very clear fruit on the palate, firm, elegant and juicy, more citrus fruit and peaches, perfectly integrated and fairly prominent acidity, cool mineral notes, racy and very persistent, good substance, still extremely young, gripping, long finish.
