2005 Hochheim Hölle Riesling Kabinett trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Markedly mature nose, pomaceous fruit, citrus and peaches, herbaceous and vegetal notes, mineral notes and some caramel. Clear on the palate, quite juicy, sweetish and creamy, mature fruit, but still lively, elegant acidity, earthy and mineral notes, good persistence, medium body, quite firm, light tannic touch, tart spicy as well as delicate sweet notes on a good finish. Has developed much better than had been expected.
