2006 Hochheim Reichestal Spätburgunder trocken RR, Rheingau, Germany

Preserved red berries and some plums on the nose, some old oak, mushrooms and some mineral traces. Red fruit on the palate, animal notes and some old oak, fine, dusty, slightly astringent tannins, quite full-bodied, fairly persistent, the oak detracts only slightly from the charms of the wine, not particularly deep, red berries and smoky oak on a good finish.
