2008 Hochheim Hölle Riesling trocken Goldkapsel, Rheingau, Germany

Deep and firm, somewhat nutty and finely vegetal aroma of ripe stone fruit and some citrus fruit with a hint of candy, subtle barrel notes, some herbs, a hint of tobacco, black berry traces, marjoram and mineral tones. Concentrated, firm, juicy, ripe fruit, very fine, lively acidity and grip of crumbly tannin, a little dark berries and candy, persistent and dense on the palate, nutty barrel notes, a hint of tobacco, clear minerality, deep and powerful with moderate alcohol, perfectly balanced, long, dense, juicy, finely spicy and mineral finish. Still completely ageless and possibly better than ever.
