The estate is located in the municipality Lengenfeld in the Lower Austrian wine region Kamptal
, The family has been growing wine for over 150 years. The skilled winemaker Kurt Angerer initially planned to settle in Australia. After all, he remained loyal to his homeland and started to produce wines according to his ideas from 1996 onwards. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards. They are 60% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Pinot Blanc, and 40% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Merlot planted. Kurt Angerer is considered an absolute specialist for the multi-style Green Veltliner. The grapes are harvested very late and leave the wines after fermentation in steel tanks, partly on the yeast until spring. The top wines are named after the prevailing soil type or its origin as Ametzberg, oak, gravel, loam, granite and spits. Bottle-fermented sects and brandies are also produced. Every year around 150,000 bottles of wine are produced.
