2008 Süd-Steiermark Riesling halbtrocken STK, Decennium, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Prominent vegetal and light floral notes on the nose, herbaceous and nutty aromas, partly preserved and candied yellow fruit, hint of petrol, noticeable alcohol in the background, but also has cool mineral notes. Ripe, firm, sweetish fruit on the palate, some sugar candy, yeasty notes and a touch of butter caramel, elegent acidity, becomes more prominent with aeration, slightly muted by integrated tannins, full body, slightly noticeable war alcohol, good depth and persistence, noticeable mineral notes i8n the background, more vegetal notes and noticeable alcohol, some grip very good firm, sweet, juicy finish.Cautious forecast, but will probably still keep for decades.
