2016 Süd-Steiermark Ried Flamberg Sauvignon Blanc trocken STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Fairly restrained nose, dried vegetal and light floral notes, white and green berries, some yellow fruit, elderflower, touch of nutty oak, white beans, prominent mineral notes. Ripe, slightly creamy but also cool, juicy fruit on the palate, touch of sugar candy, more white and green berries and a hint of red berries, more white beans, elegant acidity, integrated tannins provide some grip, initially slightly noticeable warm alcohol, but becomes more firm and cool with aeration, spicy pepper and caraway, good depth, quite complex, floral and ethereal notes on a very good, juicy, spicy, vegetal finish.
