2014 Weisenheim Halde Chardonnay trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Fairly firm nose, light nutty, spicy oak, pomaceous fruit, delicate hint of roses, some root vegetables and tobacco, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, slightly creamy fruit on the palate, nutty, spicy oak, touch of roses again, some rooibos tea, tobacco and a hint of sugar candy, fairly prominent mineral notes, some depth, persistent, very elegant acidity, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, ripe tannins provide light grip, some more light oak on a very good creamy finish.
