2009 Ried Altenberg Zweigelt trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Spicy, toasted oak on the nose, preserved red berries, some chocolate and herbs. More toasted spicy oak and chocolate on the palate, preserved dark berry fruit and some marinated plums, firm with mineral notes in the background, integrated tannins, full-bodied and has some substance, still slightly closed, very slightly noticeable alcohol on a good finish.
