2015 Ried Schafleiten Pinot Noir trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Hint of bacon and soup greens on the nose, predominantly red berries and cherries, nutty, lightly toasted oak, some dried bell peppers, dried mushrooms and earthy notes. Fairly firm, ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, noticeable spicy oak, coffee and cocoa, light sooty notes, soy and dried mushrooms, hint of black berries in the background, some licorice, fine sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, good persistence and substance, salty traces in the background, fairly firm, juicy finish, but still shows some bitter oak aromas.
