2015 Ried Schafleiten Syrah trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly tart nose, light peppery spice, partly preserved black berries and cherries, hint of dark caramel, tart nutty aromas. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, toasted oak, chocolate, peppery spice, hint of sugar candy, pulses in the background, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, hint of coffee grounds, salty traces, fairly prominent sandy, astringent tannins, slightly brittle on a good to very good finish.
