The estate is located in the municipality of Röschitz at the foot of the Manhartsberg south of Retz in the west of the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel, The family has been based here for four generations. The company was founded in 2001 by Leo Maurer jun. (Graduate of the wine-growing school in Krems) and his wife Manuela (state-certified wine manager, practice at a winery in Oregon -USA). The parents Alfred and Maria Maurer help in the vineyard and bring their experiences with them. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Gspött, Haidweingergarten, Himmelreich, Königsberg, Mühlberg, Reipersberg; Sängerleiten and Stoitzenberg. They are planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Gelber Muskateller as well as with the red varieties Zweigelt and Blauburger.
Consistently natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is practiced. The quality criteria are limited by quantity short pruning and rigorous thin out, Through selective hand picking, only ripe and healthy grapes are processed. The white wines are aged in steel tanks, the red wines traditionally in large wooden barrels. Premium wines include Grüner Veltliner Stoitzenberg and Grüner Veltliner Reipersberg Weinviertel (both ), Riesling Haid wine gardens and the Zweigelt-Blauburger cuvée. In suitable years too Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein produced. The winery is a member of the associations "Weingut Retzer Land" and "Weinstraße Weinviertel".
