Black berries and some light plummy notes on the nose, tart herbaceous notes, light hint of onion, smoky and raosted notes. Prominent sooty, roasted oak on the palate, quite juicy fruit behind this, fairly prominent, astringent tannins, fairly persistent, full-bodied, quite polished, hint of bacon, has some depth, creamy fruit, but also rather a lot of oak again on a good to very good finish.

Best to drink: 2011-2014+. What our ratings mean
