The estate is located in the commune of Hainfeld (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The family history goes back to 1538. A manor restaurant "Landhaus Herrenberg" is connected. The business is managed by Stefan and Jürgen Lergenmüller. The vineyards cover around 85 hectares of vineyards with over 300 individual plots over a length of ten kilometers along the wine route from Godramstein to Rhodt. They are planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Portugieser, Merlot, St. Laurent and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the white varieties Grauburgunder, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Silvaner, Kerner and Muscatel. Only healthy, fully ripe grapes are fermented in a temperature-controlled manner after gentle pressing.

The red wines are traditionally fermented on the mash. The wines are mainly aged dry. Location names are dispensed with. “Terroir Wines” includes the red wine cuvées Philipp L. and LP, the red wines Merlot Roter Lehm, Pinot Noir Angiolino, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent Urgestein, as well as the white wines Chardonnay pur mineral, Pinot Blanc Muschelkalk, Pinot Gris Buntsandstein and Sauvignon Blanc Flint produced.
