The winery is located in the municipality of Traben-Trarbach (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of
Mosel. The family history goes back 450 years. At the beginning of the 1920s, a dependency of the Kröve winegrowing family Kilian Klein was established here. At the end of the 1960s, Louis Klein took over the management of the Traben-Trarbach winery. Since the beginning of 2009, the winery has been run by daughter Ulrike Boor and her husband Markus. The latter converted his own farm to organic cultivation as early as 2001. The vineyards cover 6.5 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Königsberg, Paradies and Würzgarten (Traben), Schatzgarten (Wolf), Hubertuslay (Kinheim), as well as Paradies and Steffensberg (Kröv). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Rivaner, Pinot Blanc and Kerner, as well as with the red wine varieties Schwarzriesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Dorio, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Dornfelder. The vineyards are cultivated according to ecological guidelines. In the deep rock cellar, the white wines are matured in steel tanks, the red wines in barrique. The product range includes various Rieslings, which are produced as
Classic,
Riesling Hochgewächs, Auslese and Beerenauslese. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and noble brandies (marc, yeast, fruit) are also produced
