2014 Rech Herrenberg Spätburgunder, Ahr, Germany

Some undergrowth on the nose, dried vegetal notes and a hint of tobacco, partly preserved red and some black berries, plums, hint of bacon, earthy traces. Cool, fairly polished, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, tart vegetal and earthy notes, light acid bite, fairly fine tannins, still slightly astringent, good persistence, light smoky, toasted oak, very delicate sweet touch in the background, some salty notes and dried herbsm hint of citrus zests on a very good, polished, elegant, juicy finish.
