2001 Riesling trocken Mosel/ Alte Reben, Mosel, Germany

Intense nose of apples and peaches, with delicate floral notes and a hint of green berries, almost hidden toasty, coffee aromas, and intense, cool minerals and spices. Clean, quite juicy fruit, lively acidity, cool mineral notes on the palate, very restrained oak notes, persistent, excellent structure, still very young, outstanding length. Gains tremendously from aeration. Decant, or just give it time.
