The estate is located in the commune of Zeltingen (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle
, The family has been involved in viticulture since the 16th century. A wine store that was closed in 1998 was also operated for many decades. After a varied history, the company was taken over by Martin Schömann in 1982 after his training as a wholesale merchant and winemaker in a size of 0.9 hectares at that time. (Graach). 90% of them are planted with Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. The wines are aged in large wooden barrels. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and brandies are also produced.
