2016 Frühburgunder trocken Alte Reben, Ahr, Germany

Earthy notes on the nose, red berries and some cassis, light smoky, nutty oak, hint of tobacco. Straightforward, delicately sweetish preserved fruit on the palate, dried herbs, light oak and a hint of tobacco, fine tannins, light bite, fairly persistent, light salty notes, slightly sweetish again on a good to very good finish.
