The estate is located in the municipality of Bad Kreuznach in the Bosenheim district in the German wine-growing region Near, The company, founded in 1828, has been run by Roland Mees (master winemaker) and Dagmar Mees (consultant for German wine) in the seventh generation of the family since 2003. Son Lukas successfully completed his training as a winemaker in 2013. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers of paradise and Rosenberg (Bad Kreuznach). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, Huxelrebe, Bacchus, Chancellor Vine and Scheurebe, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Blue Portuguese and Dark Fields.

The white wines ferment slowly and in a controlled manner in stainless steel. The red wines mature according to traditional maceration in a large wooden barrel.
