2002 Dernau Pfarrwingert Spätburgunder Auslese trocken Versteigerungswein, Ahr, Germany

Intense, prominent mineral character, aromas of cooked red berries and plums, with malty notes and some orange peel. Quite cool in the mouth, slightly oxidative, with elegant fruit, very harmonious tannins, light spicy oak, slightly sharp acidity, very persistent on the palate, powerful, mineral character, good structure, long finish.
