2014 Spätburgunder Blauschiefer, Ahr, Germany

Rather tart aroma of red berries, a hint of cassis and cherries with delicate floral, herbal and tobacco notes. Ripe, juicy, rather polished fruit, tobacco and restrained woody notes, fine sandy, youthful tannin and some acidity, persistent on the palate, quite grippy, cool herbal hints, salty minerality, juniper, still little developed, but nevertheless already quite animating, quite pithy way, very good, cool juicy and somewhat herbaceous finish with train.
