2014 Spätburgunder S, Ahr, Germany

Clear, delicate, dried-floral scent of blueberries, blackberries and also a little red berries as well as red beetas with restrained hints of wood, a touch of tobacco and root vegetables, a trace of juniper and earthy to mineral nuances. Herbe, polished, fine-bodied fruit, cool and quite firm, herbaceous and distinctly mineral notes on the palate, moderate wood, very slightly nutty and spicy, fairly fine, still youthful tannins, animated bite, certain depth, fairly elegant style, very lively, complex , very good, firmer, fine-sour and salty finish with pull.
