2017 Dernau Pfarrwingert Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Ahr, Germany

Clear nose, red berry fruit with a hint of black berries, hint of tobacco, floral traces, touch of pomegranate in the background, restrained oak. Clear, juicy, ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, light spicy oak, hint of tobacco and some tarry traces, fine sandy tannins, still very slightly astringent, good substance and persistence, hint of cocoa, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, light toasted notes, slightly jammy on a very good finish.
