2017 Spätburgunder "S", Ahr, Germany

Firm nose, smoky notes, light dried herbs, red and a few black berries, partly dried floral aromas, mineral traces. Firm, fairly fresh, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, fine, sandy, youthful tannins, light acid bite, herbaceous notes, touch of pepper, mineral notes, good grip, persistent, some depth, medium body, hint of bacon, very good, juicy, spicy finish.
