The winery is located in the municipality Straden at the foot of the Saziani mountain in the wine-growing region Volcano country Styria
(Austria) in the Großlage Styrian volcanic land. The hitherto managed by the state of Styria estate "Saziani" was taken over in 1971 by Rupert Neumeister and combined with their own vineyards. From the year 1981 it was run by Albert and Anna Neumeister and since 2009 it is run by the sons Christoph and Matthias In 1998 a new wine cellar was built step-by-step into the slope, in 2003 a new barrel cellar and tasting rooms were opened. The restaurant Saziani Stub'n and the hotel "Schlafgut" Saziani are operated in close contact with the winery.
The own vineyard area totals 31 hectares of vines in the locations Klausen and Steintal (Erste STK Lagen) and Moarfeitl and Saziani (Large STK Lagen). Furthermore, grapes of 4 hectares are delivered by contract producers. They are planted with the white varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Muscat, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Morillon and Traminer, and Zweigelt and Pinot Noir. Since 2013, the cultivation of the vineyards is on Organic (organic) viticulture
