2016 Mehring Riesling VDP.Ortswein, Alte Reben, Mosel, Germany

Firm nose, prominent yeasty notes, light vegetal, earthy and mineral notes, restrained yellow fruit, hint of bacon and mushrooms, floral notes, and a hint of egg white. Ripe, juicy, slightly sweet fruit on the palate, yeasty notes, yellow spice and a hint of bacon, elegant acidity, nutty traces, still very slightly muted, mineral notes in the background, hint of sugar candy, good to very good finish.
