2010 Siebeldingen Im Sonnenschein Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Cool and firm, slightly vegetal and undergrowth scent of mixed berries and cherries with nutty wood aromas, some tobacco, a hint of soup herbs, flint and a hint of juniper. Quite tart in the mouth, clearly smoky and woody, dried vegetal notes and some iodine, earthy to mineral aromas, partly dried fruit, some aubergine, laurel and juniper, persistent and quite strong on the palate, crumbly tannins, very slightly drying, earthy to mineral notes, flint again, bitter-tobacco notes, slightly drying wood, very good to long finish.
